• Some plant breeders listed here may be breeding plants as a full-time job for the small-scale seed industry.
• Some of them may be practicing plant breeding on the side, in addition to their intensive farm work that involves food production and other activities.
• The other group of plant breeders who will be listed here are the seed savers who, year after year, keep selecting seed crops for climate adaptability and resilience while they maintain culturally-significant germplasm that have critical importance for breeding new plants.
